Crepes are made all over the world. If you're crazy enough not to know what they are then here is a brief description. They are a very thin French Pancake that can be filled with a variety of different fillings. Anything from fruit, to fresh vegtables, and even meat can be put inside. They can be served as a dessert fook or a main dish depending on what is inside.
Crepes originated in Brittany, the northwest region of France, They used to be only used as bread. they were traditionally made with buckweat flour because white flour used to be a very expensive product and only royalty could afford it. They were such a big deal in France that every February 2 there was a national holiday for them. It wasn't until 1930 when crepes were brought to America by French Chef Henri Charpentier. Americans have been enjoying them ever since.
